I posted something about getting sick before, and I want some extra opinions. There's also something new that has formed and I'm pretty sure I need to go see a doctor for it. Here's what i posted before...

Okay, a few nights ago my friends and I ordered some pizza and I had A LOT of it. I went to sleep and when I woke up I fealt like I had the flu. Shivers, dizziness, loss of appetite, etc. Worse yet, I had to go to the bathroom to go number 2 every 30 mins. It was basically diarrhea except it was pure liquid. Gross I know... This has really gotten me worried since it has been 1 full day and I'm still suffering from it. Do you think I have a stomach virus or something?

NEW THING THAT HAS GOT ME WORRIED...
okay, after 4 days I thought I was getting better. I don't feel sick, but I still have diarrhea. Worse yet, I think there's blood in it now. It looks red, so I assume it is. Someone mentioned it was just bacteria from the pizza that gave me diarrhea, but can it cause bleeding?

Hi,
Firstly, you really should not expect people on here to be able to diagnose for you. I think you know yourself that if it's still going it's serious and you should DEFINITELY get round to that doctor straight away. Our health is precious and we should look after it. I think you will get other answers advising likewise. PLEASE see your doc.

At first I thought maybe your lactose intolerant and it was all the cheese jackin up your tummy. But with the blood and it being a few days later, you may have a stomach virus or maybe food posioning.
Either way I'd say go get it checked out cause it may be the signs of a condition unrelated to the pizza you ate. If it is anything serious you want to catch it right away.
Hope ya feel better soon!

Symptoms of Food Poisoning
Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea
Bloody diarrhea or pus in the stool
Upset stomach, some abdominal pain, cramps
Fever that lasts longer than 24 hours
Dizziness, fainting, rapid heart rate
Weakness, numbness or tingling in the arms, legs or mouth
You should go to a Doctor if

the symptoms (signs) of food poisoning last for more than two days even after home food poisoning treatment OR

there is a fever with or without shivers or chills OR

there is a diarrhea that is very watery (If enough fluid is lost through diarrhea or vomiting, it can affect the body's salt balance ) OR

there is blood mixed in with the stools (could be due to E. Coli and other common food-borne pathogens) OR

there is pus or mucus (whitish-gray in color) mixed in with the stools OR

there are signs of dehydration (intense thirst, dry lips and tongue, increased heart and breathing rates, weakness, and dizziness.) OR

anyone else in your family is also sick with similar symptoms.

Every year about 5,000 people die from pathogens in food in the United States out of about 76 million become ill from food. The signs and symptoms of food poisioning range from upset stomach, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, abdominal cramps and dehydration, to more severe illness such as paralysis and meningitis.

Most food poisioning effects (symptoms) on body clear up in a few days on its own. In the case of continued illness seek medical advice. Children, elders, pregnant women, and the persons who use antacids heavily are at more risk of getting food poison.

Have you taken anything for the diareah? Pepto bismol is good at getting rid of it. The bleeding may be caused by the 4 days of going. Hemmoroids will bleed if you have diareah. . .

If it doesnt go away after taking an over the counter med...go to a doctor.
You most likely got a case of food poisoning.... call the pizza place and let them know.

I think you should be going to the emergency room. The bleeding is not from the pizza. It could be from an irritation, from having diarrhea so long. But, it could be something worse.

it sounds like food poisoning. that can strike pretty bad... blood in the stool can be cuased by many medical conditions, some more serious than others, i would sugest u either wait and see if u get better, or go see a docter about the problem as it could be soemthing serious.

You could have food poisoning, but I would certainly get to a Dr. You're probably dehydrated by now and need some intervention.
