I totally agree with answer #1 ....
but if pressed to choose one, would choose Jasper.

Depends what season- Jasper as stated previously is wonderful. Banff is great but is getting too touristy. Pacific Rim is great too.
But you should also look at Provincial parks as well - In the fall try Algonquin the leaves are beautiful and you can go cave diving. In the winter for a something less touristy try Strathcona in BC.

Totally agree with previous responders. Have been through Banff, Jasper, Columbia Icefields, Crowsnest pass(Kottenays), Prince George thru to Prince Rupert. Seen northern lights at midnight, I could turn off headlights, they were so bright, been through Ontario, Quebec , into Yukon, NWT, winter and summers, born and raised on east coast , Cavendish in summer, cabot trail in spring. All are gorgeous in their own way. All are worth seeing.
