I am sure there are guys who do this, too, but I ask b/c of a vested interest. Anyone willing to admit they put insecurities between themselves and a relationship almost hoping someone will break through them? Like, "What do you want w/ a girl like me?" just hoping he will remind you over and over why he wants you?

There are plenty of women who play that role and really sometimes if most of the time it works, If he is foolish enough to believe her or brave whichever the case then that is the way it will be...But don't get me wrong some guys play that too knowing we women have a sensitive spot for that kind of thing, so when you ask us for opinions on women why don't you look again and see how many of your buddies try the same thing and how many of them get just what they want.....Think about it!

I have found that women (and men) who do this eventually end up creating a self-fulfilling prophecy: "Why are you with someone like me? Why wouldn't you want to cheat on someone as ugly as me?" Eventually, the person who keeps hearing his/her significant other saying these things comes to believe they're true, and will eventually leave. That's why confidence is so appealing.
