There is no way to cure a mouth sore and that is why you got so many different responses, all mentioned will help it go away faster, but not get rid of it right away.
Mouth sores are caused by viruses and things that irritate your mouth, sometimes if you switch toothpastes it will cause them because your mouth does not like the change, product can be more abrasive than the one you were using previously, Also if you accidentally jab urself with your toothbrush or a tortilla chip goes the wrong way and stabs u it can cause a sore. So just be careful and wash your hands often.

1. Gargle with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in 1/2 glass water.
2. Place cooled, just used tea bag on a mouth sore.
3. Take Lysine (in vitamin section of pharmacy) for prevention.

Pick up some alum in the spice section. Dab a little on the sore. It will taste horrible and kind of hurt for a few seconds but works wonders. You can do this a few times a day until it goes away (less then a week.) Try avoiding to much acidic food and drink.

rinse your mouth dailty with a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. * you might want to plug your nose and only breathe through your mouth, brush your teeth after and it will get rid of the horrible taste.
