If I was to eat all fat-free foods, I am aware that this is unhealthy. but if I was...do the calories I don't burn get stored away as fat anyways??

Yes they do. All calories that are unused or not "burned" will be stored as fat. The body automatically stores these unused calories for later use.

Watch the ingredients for fat-free because they have less fat calories but higher calories which can still be converted into fat. If your watching calories actually go by the serving amount listed on the food (use only 1 tbs of mayonaise instead of 6). Eat a lot of fresh unprocessed foods. Go and research how much a serving actually is...for example a serving of meat is 3 oz for an adult. You can buy a food scale to weigh your foods.
If you do take-out...at fast food order the kids meals (less food) because you can still "treat" yourself. Check the restuarant's Nutritional packet to determine what's healthiest. When I was on my diet I was getting the taco salad from Taco Bell because it was a salad BUT it had the highest calorie count on the menu!!!

high fat foods are hard to digest, and food that is hard to digest is more often turned into body fat. u dont have to eat fat to turn food into body fat. not all fats are bad fats; or come from animals. for example fatty acids are extremly healthy for u, and can be found in fish, peauut butter and soem oils. animal fat is always quite bad for u, alltho a little in ur diet will do no harm.
so eating food that is fat free wwill be more healthy for u, but fat free does not mean calorie free. and eating more calories than u need will result in the excess being turned into body fat.

I AGREE WITH THE POST FROM SVETA. THE HUMAN BODY NATURALLY USES ANY FOOD FOR ENERGY IT NEEDS, AND WHAT IS NOT USED IS STORED AS FAT. ANY FOOD YOU OVEREAT MORE THAN YOUR BODY NEEDS GETS STORED AS FAT.
