FINALLY - someone else that doesn't like green bean casserole!! Will you join me in a dish of green beans with bacon, and maybe some onions or garlic?!
Hey, here's a recipe that sounds good to me, and there's just enough for you and me...
"Baked Garlic Green Beans" - 2 servings
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 tsp. cider vinegar
1 tsp. dried minced onion
1 garlic clove; minced
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans; thawed
1 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. butter; melted
In a small bowl, combine oil, vinegar, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Add beans; toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 3-cup baking dish.
Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan and butter; sprinkle over beans. Bake, uncovered, at 350* for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.

There is nothing wrong with Green Bean Casserole if it's made right! It is a family tradition that the whole family enjoys. It may be only served 2-3 times a year so when the time comes we look forward to it.

Green bean casserole is an everyday dish that is trotted out for compulsory events like school board meetings and Masonic suppers. Shame on anyone who brings such a boring thing to a holiday celebration. In fact shame on anyone who uses any canned foods or prepackaged dried crap for a holiday. You can't make real food two times a year??

we can be cooking a great turkey this twelve months. we are abode interior the US this iciness with our son so having a great dinner with him would be effective. final trip we've been foreign places and that they don't have Thanksgiving in Hungary and that's problematical to locate an entire turkey besides. they do no longer look to love roasted turkey there, you may purchase an entire goose or duck for much less then turkey. i substitute into staring on the frozen ducks right here in between the food shops and it substitute into over $seventy six.!! In Hungary it may be much less then $20. for a whole goose. wish all and sundry has a great trip

Yes and it's very nasty. I even hate the commercials when the door bells ring and the people say "We got the green bean casserole". I hate those things with a passion.

If it is that nasty one that uses the canned fried onions and canned soup, YES.
If it is the good one, made with a white sauce and almonds, no, yummmm.
