My husband and I are looking into adopting a baby girl who is blind and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences with their own children.

A really sweet friend of mine had 3 low vision children, her oldest son (now a 30 year old professional musician) was almost legally blind when he was 5. She told me a story about some therapist who "taught" him to see. There was some exercises and learning system that helped him to conceptualize vision and that story just made an impression on me, especially since I met him and I'd never have guessed that once he couldn't see - he wore glasses but I've seen him without them too. Bless you in your decision making - sounds like a really sweet thing you're contemplating. May God give you the strength and love to do so or to make the best decision. Peace.

Only your benefits provider can give you any reliable answer. I could say 4-8 weeks and be off by 4-8 weeks.

No I don't, but I must say...that's a wonderful thing you're doing. She has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...and so do you.
