For about two months now, I randomly shake. To others, it looks like a bad cold chill, but for me, it is painful and embarassing. I am afraid to see a physician, because, like I said, it just looks like a cold chill.

My "shake" is violent, odd looking, random (I'm not cold), and extremely painful.

Any idea what's going on here?

I'm almost 18 years old. I'm not sure if Parkinson's could show symptoms that early?

Don't be afraid to see a doctor. There could be a number of explanations, some more serious than others, but it definately warrants investigation. The last thing you want is leaving something too late for effective treatment.

There is such a thing as early onset Parkinson's, but 18 would still be incredibly early. Painful tremor or spasms can be a side effect of withdrawal from benzodiazapines, could be an indicator of MS or Motor Neurone Disease or the result of spinal injury (possibly even whiplash). It might even be a form of Tourettes.

There could be any number of reasons for this but it definetly deserves a trip to the doctor. Shaking can be an indicator of Parkinson's disease.

It sounds like a neurological promblem. If I were you I would get to a doctor asap. Since you are young this problem could be serious.
