At first Rita isn't my favorite choice but I am sure that it is one that will grow on you after awhile. With the right middle name it would be cute.
I think it is said "ReeT-uh" sounds like pita. I am sure some people will definitely say, Reeda which would be annoying. Just like the name Hunter...many people leave out the T.
What middle names are you thinking about?
Rita Beth
Rita Jayne
Rita Grace
Rita Mae
Congrats!

I don't say the T like in tea, but you can tell I'm not saying Reeda... know what I mean? If it were Rida it'd sound different.
I like the name. I really loved it when I was a child. If I wanted to use it, I might give her a longer name like Marguerita or Karita or Laurita and just call her Rita. I would not worry about a Rita being picked on.

I would think if it is spelled RiTA you would pronounce it with a T. Otherwise it would be RiDa--spelt and pronounced with a D. RITA is a very cute name.

Rita is pronounced with the T sound. I like the name. some may call her REE-REE, so if she's sensitive that may offend her, good luck
