no age limit for me, staying at a hostel is good for making new friends. and might even have the chance to save some $$ if we travel together with our new found friends. Cheers

There is no age limit on staying in hostels. If you are fit enough to travel, you are fit enough to stay in a hostel. I am in my thirties and have been staying in hostels since I started travelling as a teenager. They are a good way of saving money on accomodation. You will meet friendly people who are accustomed to travelling. The staff are knowledgeable with the region. If you get into trouble, there are always people around to help. The atmosphere in a youth hostel is different from that of a hotel - I find hostels more personable. I have met people of all ages in youth hostels ranging from teenagers to those that have retired.

dude any one can travel as long as they are fit and healthy enough to fly or travel around a country. my partner and i are travelling all the time, my partner is 30 and he loves hostels, its a great way to meet loads of interesting people. there isnt a ages restriction at all. some hostels cater for the younger age groups and tend to give discounts but there is always a package deal for everyone out there. the yha hostel is an excellent hostel all over the world, they offer you pakage deals that u can do while u are staying in different areas, and they are really happy and helpfull people.

It is a good cost conscious way of travelling. Me, I'm 51, and prefer the security of my own room & the comforts of my own bathroom, etc. One of the benefits of aging is that the kids leave home, the money is somewhat freed up, and travel becomes more of an option.

Well it all depends on the individual. I have met people who are in their 60s who are still backpacking and staying in hostels.
As long as you are fit and healthy and enjoy backpacking, continue doing so. There is no age limit!
