I figured that since she had a low-speaking voice maybe she was an alto. The funny thing is that when she sings she can't sing lower than when she talks. And she has to try really hard. But when she starts singing, she feels comfortable hitting all thse high notes. It's amazing watching listening to her sing. I never thought she'd be a soprano. When she sings it's like it's someone else.

We all have the ability to sing in different registers. The 'chest' voice is the register that sounds similar to the speaking voice, or the sounds produced with breath coming from the upper chest.
The 'head' voice is what you hear when a woman sighs or shouts excitedly. It is not as tight or as airy as falsetto in men.

Your friend sings high (soprano) because she is singing with her 'head voice' rather than her 'chest' or 'belt' voice. If she were singing with her 'chest' voice, the sound would be lower (alto). All women can learn to sing with both, but you may find that you have a preference for one over the other.

hi. :] i'm in 8th grade too. often if a guy has a extreme voice, women folk in maximum situations locate him "amazing". Like, "Aww, little brother" lovable. If he has a deep voice, women many times like that extra useful. 8th grade is often whilst the blokes initiate getting mustaches and searching extra like adult men as against boys. So it rather is bigger to have a deep-ish voice to envision it. by employing the age of 13 or 14 women do no longer prefer to this point a "boy" they like to this point a guy who's going to be a guy or woman sooner or later and defend them. So surely use that deep voice on your skills. Chicks dig it!
