can i freeze deer hide before the tanning process?

Absolutely! When I trapped with my dad we froze lots of hides to sell to the tanner.

I have two bear rugs and a couple of deer hides that were frozen before tanning... no worries mate!!!

I'd say yes.I've never done it,but I had a fish frozen for a week or so before getting it to the taxidermist.

yes just thaw it out before you start the tanning process
