If she is healthy, not injured, not wet, hungry, dirty or sick... scoop her up and dance with her, a nice waltz or slow tango. Make the music with your own voice, make up the words and really cut a rug with her. You can take her outside for a walk if it's not too cold and get her interested in something other than crying or that mom and dad are away or whatever it is she is crying about. Find a distraction.

If she is a baby,,,change her diaper and see if she is hungry,,,or,,she may have a tummy ache,,,rub her belly or put a warm towel on her belly,,make sure it is NOT hot,,or,,,,Burp her she might have air in her belly,or,,,,if she is rattleing from her chest then she has colic,,run a vaccum or something like that cuz it will calm her down,,,if she is older,,, then see if she is hungry,,,or depends on her age you can try to make her laugh by doing things that are simple like different noises or blow on her belly doing stuff like that make kids laugh but it all depends on her age. If that stuff doesn't help call an older woman like a mom you know or a older woman,,or some kind of caregiver for children.

Tell her if she stops crying, then you will do something special for her like make her favorite cookies or something. And then after she stops crying, distract her with a toy or something so u dont have to make the cookies :-)

i think hitting her will only make it worse!!! I would offer her something she likes like candy or a toy or that you will put her favorite movie on for her and make some popcorn!!!! works for my little twin brothers!!

Make her laugh!~ It always works especially if she's a kid. Set yourself up to fall and bust your butt on purpose~ or rip a fart or something~ sure to get a laugh everytime

give her a cookie, some candy, ice cream. Play a game with her, play hide and seek, watch a movie with her...you didn't say how old she is though.
