Old enough to not have to ask?

When the time and person are right you should know. But don't be irresponsible or cheap with yourself. You only have the first time once---don't waste it.

for one i am going into law enforcement. and in NY the legal age for consent is 17. that doesnt mean as soon as you hit 17 go have sex. it means that at that age you are considered to make up your own mind. for the male if the female is 17 and he is over the age of 21 that is considered statutary rape. so you will know when the time is right. you must understand the consequences of your actions before you make a decision to have sex. must have a plan of what if. you must take everything into consideration will the boy still be there if you become pregnant? do you really want to have a tie to this guy for the rest of your life if you become pregnant? do you fully understand the responsibility of what you want to do. other than that there is NO AGE to have sex. Morally marriage should come first.

At least old enough to know the possible consequences of having sex (like getting pregnant, and how you get pregnant). Plus if you are under age (usually is 16 in most states) and the guy is over 18 he can get thrown in jail for statutory rape and corruption of a minor. Serious offenses even if YOU gave consent, your parents can still press charges. If this guy is a lot older than you, and you are a lot younger than 18, you might want to think about it. I mean, do YOU really want sex, or is he trying to 'talk you into it'? You have to be careful of guys like that, they can be dangerous, a rapist or worse, a rapist/murderer. Just be careful, whatever you decide to do.

If you feel the need to ask, then you know the answer already... you seem to be too young both in age & mentally... not trying to be mean.. but, sweety... sex is great when things are right, when you are mature enough....but sex isn't everything... obviously, you are young..enjoy your youth.. there's so much else out there.. if there's peer pressure... well, crap shrug them off... peer pressure never stood a chance w/ me & I never surrounded myself w/ people who even had a thought in their head to try to convince me of ANYTHING... it's so beautiful to just wait... if you wait 'till you're married, BEAUTIFUL! But if it happens before then, I hope you're old enough to understand what the consequences are! Again, you're asking if you could - that tells me - DON'T DO IT!

For girls it is 16 but for Boys it is 18 however it is a tough question because every person is different. There are not enough facts given to young people about the repercussion having sex can bring. Too many people think I am going to have sex & I won't get pregnant then nine months later they are.

Old enough to have and raise a child should one occur during the sex act. That is the bottom line if you are not old enough or ready to take responsibility for what you produce then you are not old enough.

You should wait until you are married. But if you decide to have sex before marriage make sure you are ready to handle the responsibilities that comes with having sex. Also, use some type of birth control method and use condoms to prevent getting any sexual transmitted diseases (STD's).

Married is a pretty good age. I wasn't...had a few experiences I would never want to repeat and regret every one. All I could think of on wedding night was the wasted physical/sex and heartache I had caused myself in the past. Marriage makes EVERYTHING fun, secure and HOT.
