1.That not every single Muslim woman who wears the hijab is subservient to men. Sure there are Muslim men who twist the words of God to fit their evil thinking, but that's in all religions. So why should I be the poster child for how bad/backward/silly/claustrophobic others think Islam and the hijab are?

2. Muslims are not commanded to hate and kill the so-called infidels! I'm so sick and tired of hearing that bs. I mean if that's the truth then I would have to hate my mother and her family!
Come on people! Read the Qu'ran with open eyes and hearts. Chapter 109: The Disbelievers
1.Say: O! Disbelievers!
2. I worship not that which you worship,
3. Nor will you worship that which I worship.
4. And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.
5. Nor will you worship that which I worship.
6. To you be your religion, and to me my religion.

3. Reading a translation of the Qu'ran is not the same as reading the Qu'ran in Arabic. Arabic is a hard language to translate and the Qu'ran is even harder. I mean even Arabs have a hard time with it. There are words in it that no one knows the meanings to except God.
So how can anyone who's read the abriged and translated version claim to have any understanding what's so ever? Qu'ranic scholars study for years to really understand it and even a lay-person such as myself will tell you that every single time i read it I pick up a new meaning. That's the eternal message and beauty of it- a new meaning each time; a new solution to a problem you didn't know you faced.

4. A tafsir or an explanation of the Qu'ran would come in great for anyone who's reading the Qu'ran and just wants to go deeper. A tafsir explains each of the 6000+ verses in detail. It explains the hows, whens, whys, and wheres of each verse.
Additionally it not only includes Muslim explanations of the verses, but Jewish as well. (Especially concerning Moses (PBUH)).

5. When I discuss Islam's message with people, they always tell me how my God doesn't have mercy or grace or any other characteristic attributable to a 'good god'. Instead He's all about violence and punishment and retribution.
I wish those people read the 99 names of God. According to Muslim tradition God has given himself 99 names that are indictive of his characteristics and attributes. Trust me when I say, Muslims cry when hearing His names. I wish people could know them; then they'd know.

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

1. We are Christian. We believe that salvation only comes through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

2. The majority of us do not hope to go to heaven (Revelation 14:1; Psalm 37:11). There are well over 144,000 of us and we are not fighting for positions in heaven but most hope to live everlastingly in paradise on earth.

3. Our position regarding blood transfusions IS from the Bible (Acts 15:28, 29;) and BECAUSE of Jehovah's Witnesses, medical advancements have been made that benefit YOU.

4. We do not have a "leader" except one, Christ - who is head of the congregation. (Ephesians 5)

5. Our ministry is done out of obedience to Christ and love for our neighbor (Mt 28:19, 20); not for money (we are ALL unpaid volunteers), not for converts, not because we enjoy "bothering" people.

Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT a cult. All of our beliefs, meetings and publications are open to the public.

We DO believe in Jesus. We just believe he is God's son, not God himself.

We do NOT force other people to listen to us. If you aren't interested, then we simply say "have a nice day." :)

Witness parents are NOT endangering their children's lives due to the refusal of blood transfusions. There are many bloodless alternatives to consider and blood transfusions DON'T necessarily guarantee that a person will survive their disease.

Just because we do not go to war, vote or salute the flag does NOT mean that we are unpatriotic. To the contrary, we are law abiding citizens who pay our taxes and strive to lead a peaceful life.

I wish people knew and thought about these things before they jumped to a conclusion about us and promoted their misconceptions. Only in a perfect world, right? :D

I am Pagan. Things I wish other people knew about my religion are:

1. I don't worship the devil.

2. I can't fly on a broomstick.

3. I don't eat babies.

4. I don't take drugs or drink alcohol to go into a trance.

5. If you ask 100 Pagans what Paganism means to them, you'll get 100 different answers. Paganism is very unorganized and deeply personal.

Jehovah's Witnesses:
- DO believe Jesus Christ was God's Son
- are NOT a cult -- we follow no human as sole ruler, only
Jehovah God

This is a really interesting question; good idea. Im glad I had the opportunity to clear just a couple of the lies spread around about this religion :)

1) Atheism is not a religion. Religion presupposes the existence of supernatural entities and/or events, and atheists have no belief in such things.

2) Atheists are perfectly capable of knowing what's good and doing what's right, even without belief in any god and even (gasp) without wasting an hour every Sunday being reminded of their imperfections by some jerk who couldn't get a real job.

That's all I've got.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

By faith Able offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain...

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death...

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that God Is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house...

Trust and obey, theres no other way to be happy in Jesus is to trust and obey. (Hebrews 11)

Jesus
Christ
Lord
Atonement
Resurrection.
