Well, the first evening with Jayde and T-Bone went ok... I guess. He's feeling his oats and she had to put him in his place a couple times, but overall it went alright.
But, this morning, T-Bone wants to play so badly, but Jayde just wants to cuddle with me... and she's being rather nasty to him about it. So, just now its like he gave up anad went and flopped in his favorite chair, I think he is depressed... I am starting to questiong my wisdom in doing this before my husband got home... what do I do?

No, no... T-Bone is my first pup, 11 months old, and I'm not actually giving in to Jayde's plea for attention, not at least without going over and giving T-Bone some love, too... but Jayde HOVERS literally on my feet if I'm sitting... she was an outdoor dog til last night when I brought her home...

He's trying again to get her to play, and she just ignores him... they played so *well* at her old house... what is wrong?

Um, yeah, they're dogs... and my husband knows and was all for it... T-Bone is a Pittie/Staffie mix, and Jayde is pure pit...

It is just a period of adjustment for both of them.. she is buttering up the boss, so to speak, and wants to make sure she is on your good side in her new home.. T Bone is just tickled to have company, and is exuberant! they will work it out in a day or two, without much human intervention..give them some time, and continue to give Jayde and t-bone plenty of attention.. Nothing says mothering, like teaching new tricks..Try teaching them something new..if they already know basic commands, then teach shaking hands..Both will fee so secure of they are learning something new..Perhaps teaching one while the other is in the other room or napping or such.... I always teach my rescues something, usually 'shake hands' as they really become more secure if they can DO something that pleases me..

Doesn't matter what kind of animals you have, or even the same kind or not. As long as no one is getting noticeably harmed, stay out of it. They will find their own way to adjust to each other. You & your husband are, right?

The problem with your husband, you are on your own. The animals are fine. Just dawned on me . . .Are you talking about animals or kid? You didn't say. If it's kids you brought home w/o his knowledge, Good Luck. You're going to need it. ;-Q

Great. More info. Maybe even enough to help (just kidding). First, YOU, lighten up. You are anxious & the pups know it,. In her yard, Jayde was the Queen of the home. Now she is in his space & obviously anxious. People will not agree with what I am saying; maybe I am all wet.

Jayde is the one needing the most reassurance. Give her all the attention she needs. If T'bone is jealous, he will come over for attention too. God gave you 2 petting tools. Use them both. Take extra time with them. Same with the husband, if he appears jealous. Let the pups sort out who will be boss, when & what they play, & all the other good stuff beyond our limited comprehension. You all know each other & care about each other. All 4 of you animals will readjust to the new situation & sort out the roles each will have with the others. Considering the circumstances, it will be all sorted out soon, within a week, probably.

Good to see you feeling more relaxed. Bye.

Sounds to me like someone is a little jealous over the new pup. They just need to get used to each other. Make sure they know Momma loves both of them and don't show favoritism to either.

He's probably feeling a little jelousy, maybe u should all play together. He needs to prob. let out his energy somehow before he gets sick or sumthing.lol. but so my answer is to play wit him. maybe go outside for a sec ( even though it's dark, it'll still be fun! lol) so good luck!

Play with him, it sounds as though you are favoring one over the other a bit. It also sounds as though he is a new dog and a puppy at that. He's probably missing his siblings.
