I mean, what pains do men take to try to get the girl but at the same time avoid giving her the chance to reject them if the girl is not interested.

The worst thing you can do is trying to avoid rejection...it happens and you move on. I just go for it and ask them out...if they say no then at least I can move on...if you avoid rejection then chnaces are your missing out on the ones who wouldn't reject you!
