Mohammed did now not prophecy something, surely. extra, IF he became a prophet, then ALL his phrases would be real, and that they weren't. He by no capacity chop up the moon into 2 as he claimed. The sunlight would not set right into a dirt puddle. A fetus' bones are actually not shaped first. those are purely some examples, of path there are extra. yet even ONE fake fact would recommend that Mohammed became now not a prophet. See? i be conscious of which will offend you, yet you're merely going to ought to settle for that there are multiple scientific and textual blunders interior the Koran, and that non-Muslims are unlikely to rapturously proclaim Mohammed as a prophet or on a similar time as a guy of God. to now not point out that Mohammed himself had some severe character flaws -- certainly one of which became his irrelevant marriage to a 6 12 months previous (consummated at age 9), which regrettably, in Muslim international locations as we talk is used as an occasion and excuse for different pedophiles to do the comparable. It merely won't be in a position to be justified.

Both men were attempting to become catalysts for change in a society that had become deacadent, the differences are simply the political climate that they were surrounded with at the time.

Simply put, christianity was assimilated by the romans, and was used as a form of social control and unity. They burned the library of alexandria to conceal this fact. And ultimatly jesus became a icon of a intentionally distorted and reformed religion known as christianity. Just as Karl Marx said "let me be clear, i am not a marxist", Jesus was never a christian as we know it.

Islam, was initially defeated in mecca, its followers were treated equally as bad as the early christians. the difference was that there were no large political superpowers in the region at the time, and thus islam assimilated the rest of the culture in the region. The advantage of this, and the fact that it came later in time, mean that muhammeds ideas, and image is not as highly distorted as christianity

Afternote: wow, im suprised i got so many negative mods. so the fact that ive studied comparitive religion, lived in both an islamic country for several years while being raised a white american. coupled with the fact that i studied under an imam, and have family members in clergy. do they mean that my understanding is historically flawed, or that we have too many bible thumpers in the room.

p.s. read anything on the events surrounding the council of nycia, and emperor constantine, and the destruction the library of alexandria. and you will realize that there were far more atrocities committed near the birth of christianity, when compared with the birth of islam.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth offers salvation through the cross.

It is a gift from God (salvation) and can not be earned.

Jesus beat the grave!

Jesus loved everyone. He healed the sick, blind and raised the dead.

He lived a pure and sinless life.

Those are just a few things about Jesus Christ. John, one of his disciples wrote that Jesus did so many signs, wonders and miracles (as mentioned above) there were were not enough books to put it all in.

I would encourage you to read the New Testament of the Holy Bible. It is an accurate and the only authority on the life, ministry and death of Jesus Christ.

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) is viewed by Muslims as the best of all of God's creation. He is the last of the Prophets.
As a Muslim, I believe that Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was a man- not a god or a son of god. He was born and died just like other men. He was a teacher, guide, role model, leader, soldier, father, husband, believer, and worker.

Jesus didn't go around maiming people at random with an AK-47, shouting "I am the savior, you must all follow me or die!"
I'd say thats a pretty big difference.
