NO! It will pass through the system in 24 to 72 hours just like anything else will.

Of course not, and ask yourself 'Why exactly seven years?' If a small child swallowed chewing gum and huge 6 ft man, that alone would mean a difference in the length of time something passes through the digestive tract. No, it's an old wives' tale.

Do not swallow gum or anything else that you are not supposed to!!!
And just for your peace of mind, the pH of hydrochloric acid in your stomach (assuming you are perfectly healthy) is 2-3. Gum is not indestructible. Do the math!

This is a Mathe, Gum stands no chance in you stomach. The acid in you stomach is so strong it kills one million cell per second from your stomach lining, of course they rebuild. If you eat and then don't eat for 12 hours you stomach will be empty. And Ex-rays of stomack don't lye, if you think so ask a Doctor.

Unfortunately it never leaves the system completely and it leads to one of the most painful and disfiguring forms of Cancer, Adenowrigglysgomanoma...And the Heebee Jeebies also. I certainly hope that you were insured?

Good grief, no. Whoever told you that was either an idiot or was pulling your leg.
As the other answerers have stated already, it will pass in a day or so.
