Ibuprofen is the best to take for a toothache. If you plan to have the tooth extracted you can crush a regular aspirin and place it directly onto the tooth and that will also help with the pain but only if you plan to pull the tooth since it will erode the enamel. Make an appointment to be seen as soon as you can.

take a ice cube or something really cold and rub it around the palm of your hand. i've has a history of horrible abcesses and it really does work. some of the nerves in your palm are connected to the nerves in your mouth so it'll take away the pain temporarily. just leave it on till you can't take it anymore

Buy some natural cloves and bite on one where it hurts. Natural and effective enough to last until you get to dentist
