5 major denominations:christian muslim/islam hindu buddist and sikhism countless others though id say in the hundreds including all the ones in africa,which vary dramatically even though each doesent have many followers

the more desperate and selfish the population gets the more religion is needed as a "purpose" or fulfilment without that the age old question rises and the fear starts........why are we here?

Possibly thousands. However, there is one true religion. Speaking to his Father, Jehovah, Jesus said:..."Your word is truth." Those obeying the whole Bible have the true religion.
