Just curious because Thanksgiving is a time where you deprive yourself with so much food that a feeling of guilt overwhelms us sometimes or we just feel like we are going to puke. Tell the story if you ever had this experience.

Last year, I ate so much. I ate like 2slices of oreo pie,big heaping of turkey, chocolate chip cookie dough icecream, corn on the cob, ect. So dang gone much! I gained a little weight for the next few days...which really stunk because my favorite skinny tight pants didn't fit. But it just went away the next 3days...but i'm telling you after thanksgiving I felt miserable. I felt as though I was going to become fat. I think I was just PMSing though. Not for sure.

Yes and that is an awful feeling. So in future use moderation . take only small samples . You can always go back for that which you really like. Over stuffing yourself ruins a wonderful gathering. Don't act like it's your last meal or you'll wish it was. lol

Well, for the past 5 years, I have been considered PHAT (pretty hot and tempting) and so I don't worry about 'getting fat'. And I never eat so much that I feel as though I am going to puke. I guess I allow my eyes to absorb the sights, my nose the smells and then I let my brain 'tell me' how much I should eat. I take small portions on a small plate, or small portions on a big plate (fools the brain) and take small bites I enjoy the conversation at the table and do a lot of talking and much of the food remains on the plate. Often , I will take home a 'people-bag' and finish up dinner at home. Let your brain tell you when you are full. Not your stomach.

Not really. I don't see the point of overstuffing myself. So for Thanksgiving I usually eat the same portions as always but just have a small serving of a dessert or two. That's bassically it. really.
