My grandparents are the hardest people to get presents for. If you ask them for a list they simply will not give one to you. Without directly asking or anything, what clues can I look for to help me decide what to get?

ask other family members about suggestions. Maybe they can help you with ideas for the perfect gift for your grandparents

Have some conversations with them. Just listen to what they say. While in the kitchen, if grandma says, "Boy this can opener is hard to use" go to Black & Decker and get their automatic can opener for her. If grandpa says "This tv remote is so small I can't see the buttons" then go to Best Buys and pick him out a universal remote that has large easy to see buttons.

NBC always has segments on the Today Show about gifts to give seniors. Try going on to NBC.com and looking up the Today Show to see if they have any ideas posted.

Good luck! My grandparents are hard people to shop for, also, but I've just learned to listen to them and sooner or later they will drop hints.

you know your grandparent more than anyone else. it you want you can ask your parents. THink really hard and remembar something that they like a lot. if you can't find anything tell them "i can't think of anything that you would possibly aprove of. i would like to find out what you would want as your gift. I've tried really hard to think of a gift but i just can't find one that is good enough for you."

the best thing you can give them is a special day with you take them on a picnic or to a show that you might not enjoy but that they will love

Just spend time with them. Things they complain about or joke about being broken....pay attention.
