I have a cat that drools. She was never abused, and has no problems with her mouth or her teeth. Sometimes they just do it. Just like some dogs have a bigger problem with drooling than others.
I wouldn't worry about it. As long as she has a clean bill of health, it's not a big deal, just a little messy, lol!

As long as the cat does not show any signs of distress, pain or depression, should be OK. I once had a cat that did not purr in the normal fashion - the purr always sounded like a a deep growl. I had him since he was born, was never injured and I put the strange purr-growl down to how his throat was constructed from birth.

My cat drools while she hasn't seen me in a at the same time as... Like if I spend the night far off from domicile. She gets excited when I come domicile and she or he'll start to drool when I puppy her. I additionally had a prior cat whose drool might drip continuously when I puppy her. it is not something to be alarmed approximately except that's a mucous-like unbelievable drool. Then i might agonize.

The reason is the mistreatment she had as a kitten. The muscles just like us are different when there is a smile, frown, or straight face. I have been around two cats that drooled. One was one of my adoptiables, and my neises cat did also. On the later, she was a female and did it when she was happy. The other was a male, and his front teeth were crooked. I do not know if it was an injury in younger years, or was born that way. GOD BLESS YOU! sus04mc@yahoo.com

My parents' cat drools when she's happy. She likes to march when she's happy and then she'll drool too. When they're kittens, cats march on their mother to get milk. That could explain the drooling connection -- perhaps your cat's "drool for milk" instinct never got disassociated with the happy feeling.

You answered your own question when you said she had been abused. She obviously has nerve or muscle damage from the abuse. As long as her physical health is OK & she drools (happy.happy cat), she is fine, & lucky to have you as her slave.
