I met the last person that I was in a relationship on Yahoo IM and at first our relationship was really, really great. However, later in the relationship one of our problems was that I stopped chatting on Yahoo with other people trying to be monogamous and he was still meeting and chatting and lying about it. Will I ever do it again? Probably not. Your experience may not be the same though, but always keep your eyes and ears open and always believe all of what you see.

on many levels you can... you can get to know how they feel about different subjects, get a taste of their personality, see how you two interact in conversation and stuff like that.

on the other hand, on the internet you can never be sure who you're talking to (unless they've got a webcam, i suppose) and face-to-face interaction always takes things to the next level in conversation.
