I recently watched the history channel's Modern Marvels series and I saw their one on tobacco. They said that the countries that produce the most tobacco are, in this order: China, India, Brazil, USA, Turkey in that order. They also said that most USA tobacco is produced in the states of NC, KY, VA in that order.

Tobacco is mainly grown in central America now. You might want to try searching under "the tobacco industry" on google.

I know they grow it in Kentucky and Tennessee in the US. Saw a lot of tabacco farms while I was there.
