BTW... guys, I was meaning the book and paper games where the action happens in your imagination, not on a screen. Not to diss the video games, (I love those too) but it just seems that you're so much more involved in the paper game. IE. One time I was part of a large adventuring group of elves. We came across a HUGE goblin encampment, with several outlying outposts for lookouts. We cast ever armor spell we could on the sorceress, and she sauntered NEKID out within sight of an outpost, then ran back into the woods where the rest us waited hiding. We made short work of that outpost, she then got her clothes on, then we had a nice hill on which to shoot fire arrows into the camp. The camp scattered. That's the short of it... I only have like 1000 chars to describe here...

I suppose you could say few females play, although it seems from my experience that about one fifth of adult players are female. Most playing groups in my area include at least one.

I've played for, well a really long time, and have tried out more games than I really care to think about over the years. I love the new D&D, but will always hold a special place in my gamers heart for GURPS , Deadlands, and Champions.

My favorite adventure would have to be one of the first 3rd edition campaigns we ran right after the system came out. It lasted over 3 years, went quite epic and ended when my blademaster, one of two surviving original characters, sacrificed herself to keep Hell from merging with the Material Plane. Not only is she a legend in the gameworld, but almost every D&D player in town has some idea who she was. It was a BIG campaign that overlapped with at least two others and she was one of the more notable characters.

I play some DnD, thought I'm more involved with Serenity RPGS, since I'm more of a sci-fi geek. I've also played some original gaming systems with my friends, as well as Vampire the Masquerade.

And WoW. Cheers to the WoWing females out there. GREAT game.

You are not one of the few, there are many women who play D&D.

As for favourites....I used to prefer the games based in the Elric/Eternal Champion novels more than D&D

Best though are the one off tournament scenarios used at conventions etc, game system doesn't matter, especially the comedy ones

I love Dungeons and Dragons but I have also played Call of Cathulu, it was good also. We actually played it in a park in the middle of the night and it was a trip.
