THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA was built from the 3rd century BC until the beginning of the 17th century, in order to protect the various dynasties from raids by Hunnic, (Huns) Mongol, Turkic, and other nomadic tribes coming from areas in modern-day Mongolia and Manchuria.
These tribes were seen as invaders, not immigrants.
The difference between the Chinese and Mexican walls is very simple. The immigrants illegally coming into the United States are not invaders. They are coming in search of jobs. They are not coming in armed with the purpose of invading and taking over the U.S. militarily.
The Chinese were faced with an entirely different situation. The tribes mentioned above were trying to enter China for the purpose of invading the country militarily and taking it over. They were not coming in search of jobs.

The Mexican Border wall is just a thin Fence, unlike the Great China Wall, its an long, long, long brick wall. Mexican Border Fence is to keep the illegals from coming in.

I just don't think this is the time and place for me to provide you the history of the Great Wall of China, but if you want to compare the people that who were being walled out, then you should be comparing the Huns and the illegal immigrants. If you noticed I did not say illegal Mexicans because there are a number of non-Mexicans also trying to illegally enter the US borders.

There is no comparison the Great Wall of China had nothing to do with illegals coming to America it was protection on their part. So this is quit a stupid question, you can not compare the "Great Wall of China with a fence bording Mexico. How about Terrorist, you can put a fence bording Mexico but what about Terrorist coming in thru Canada!

The Great Wall did not keep the Mongrels out, the 1/3 of a wall on out southern border willn not keep immigrants out either.

Not good. Also expensive. Well, searching and deporting all illegals would cost more too. When will we build walls around the rest of the US to keep the other illegals out? As long as the Asian bordellos don't close down, go get em.

This is a stupid comparison. The Great Wall is to defense the country but not to stop illegal immigration.

There is no comparison. The great wall actually worked to keep people out. Our wall is a joke, but I sure wish it worked.

The Great Wall of China protected China from invasion for hundreds of years, It was needed to keep murdering, thieving, raping Mongols out so that the Chinese could live in peace.
Consider the fact that 95% of all outstanding murder warrants in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens, the vast majority of which came from Mexico. The wall worked for China, and if we have the courage to build one, it will work for us to help protect the people of The United States of America.

The Great Wall was meant to slow down raiders that were retreating from China. The border wall is meant to keep out illegals.
