Hell yeah you should be worried.... That sounds like Demodectic mange. Check out this web page for more info. Scroll down to the part titled "Demodectic Mange" - it describes your dog to the tee.

No when puppies are born the extra fur helps keep grit and grime out of there eyes so the the eyes can develop without getting infection and slowing down the process and now that she is getting older and her eyes are fully developed the extra fur is not needed so she sheds it

Yeah....I would have her checked for Demodex also. Not super common, but that is a common sign!!
