bigotry towards Muslims?

Why are people so Bigotry towards Muslims now, it is really stupid. Christians and Americans know nothing of our religion yet ***** about it and say things they know nothing off. They also steriotype us and it is annoying. What is wrong with America?
-more than 900 film appearances of Arab characters. Of those, only a dozen were positive and 50 were balanced.
-Christians out lawing the call to prayer because its words and not a bell in mosqes
-Delayed on every domestic flight
Arabs/Muslims are primitive/dirty
Arabs/Muslims are sub-humans/non-humans
Arabs/Muslims are murderers and terrorists
Arabs/Muslims are brutal
Arabs/Muslims are untrustworthy and treacherous
Arabs/Muslims are fanatics/uncompromising
Arabs/Muslims support terrorism
Arabs/Muslims support opression of women
when will it end?

First id like to say that most muslims are good people. Part of the hate is 9/11, another is the war in iraq. Its not buddists that are fighiting with us. Part is our lacking understanding of your culture and your world. Part is that your religion has some serious flows in it. Another part is that very few muslims are speaking out against terrorism. There is a lot of hate for the US because of our support for Isreal. Just ask any muslim what they think of Isreal. Yes there has bin more then a few muslims organization found in the states funding terrorists. Most muslims will say that 9.11 was wrong and terrorist are bad but the US had it coming for its support for Isreal.(I am not making this up) Is islam opressive when it comes to women. Just look at any country where islam is the ruling authority(iran) Do you really believe that woman are not opressed there? Do you believe polygamy it self is not oppresive towards women?

IM SORRY to say part of it is our own bigotry and ignorance. The other part is that you earned it. I know that me insulting your religion is hurtful. However my suggestiong would be reading "why i am not a muslim" by Ibn Warraq. I know it can be a difficult read for a muslim but it would explain my thinking on islam.

My other point it look at how Christian are treated in Turkey by muslims and compare it to how Americans treat muslims. You can tell me who is more accepting.

Well Im sorry that Hollywood doesn't portrey your people very well but aside from a couple Bible movies, Christians are hardly ever protreyed well. Always crazy or backwoods rednecks or psychos, so... you arent alone there.

But if I can be honest and give you my personal opnions of Islam and why PERSONALLY (not speaking for anyone else) cannot accept the religion is because of the following:
1) You all hate the Jews, my Bible teaches me to bless the Jews and be blessed, curse them and be cursed
2) You hold Muhammad in higher standards than Jesus, though you claim they're both just Prophets, Mohammad is the main figure in your religion, Jesus gets maybe 2nd billing.
3) Mohammad married a little girl at 6 and "consumated" with her at 9. Whether or not this is/was against the law then or not, it's sick. a 50+ yr old man would seriously hurt a 9 yr old girl.
4)You have no Savior.. Thats pretty big...

Im not saying you cant be nice people or are all suicide bombers but those things will always prevent me from being Muslim. If Allah isnt happy with that, he should have made me a person who would tollorate such things :)

Never judge a book by it's cover... This can only end with proper education and understanding of the religion... Yes, I feel that it's wrong to judge an entire faith by a few bunch of criminals, who target innocent people. No religion teaches violence. So there can be no muslim terrorist or a christian terrorist.. These are people with no religion.. These are people with only one motivation, and that is power. Out of greed, or thirst for power, or maybe its just their twisted brain they device ways to kill people and establish their fear... It would be wrong to label muslims as terrorists just because of an Al-Qaeda ... Just as it would be because of a Hitler, to say all Christians are terrorists... The more we say so, the more will we be responsible in creating more Bin Ladens... A criminal is a criminal... A terrorist is a terrorist... He can be a muslim, a christian, a jew, a hindu etc... But an entire faith cannot be terrorist...

Though your assessment of Americans is stereotypical and bigoted in itself, your concerns are relatively reasonable. People fear things they don't understand, and religions have been fighting each other for as long as there have been different ones. The best way to fight ignorance is with knowledge. Tell people the truth and maybe the ignorance will fade out.

What good do Arab Muslims do for non-Arab Muslims or even for Arab Muslims?

I am a Muslim and I have experienced Arab Muslims in Sydney, Australia, for over 18 years, and they are selfish and greedy and racist and think themselves a superior race and do not even train their own children who turn out to be rapists, and then the Mufti would not quote from the Quran in Ramadan, but he recently referred to women who are not covered in hijab or burqa or sack-cloth in their homes as "Cat-Meat" and responsible for their own rape at the hands of delinquent and criminal Muslim Arab youth.

The same Mufti caused my family to be harassed and stalked 24/7 from 1999 to date after he called Police for me in 1999 because I went to his office to complain about their false teaching of Jesus and Jews and Christians in the Quran, and he had his assistant use an interpreter to talk with me, pretending he could not speak English, and keeping me there till the Police arrived, until he burst out in English to tell me that I was right and he studied English and knew they were wrong but it didn't matter to a person's faith.

How absurd?

It was only afterwards that I learnt that the Mufti had an agreement with the Secret Intelligence and the Police to report radical Muslims for special attention, and that was after an Arab Muslim had shot up the local Police Station in 1999 in a driveby. He was later held in Lebanon and was deported only very recently.

They caused great suffering to myself and my wife and infant daughter 24 hours per day seven days per week.

I later taught Scripture at my daughter's school for more than a year until after the Arabs stopped paying the allowance because they did not care about Muslim children outside of their own little enclave.

The Mufti collected $40,000.00 per year as a priest and Islam is not a Church.

The Arabs must take the lead in getting their Isam right or continue to face the wrath of Allah for their rebellion and infidelity.

What do you know about your religion when you cannot get the translation of the Quran right and the Arabs wont attempt to right the wrongs?

Arab Muslims must make an open apology to the World and beg the forgiveness of Allah and stop the desecration of the Quran and their mockery of Allah and Islam and save Muslims the trouble they have set up for us.

You must go and find some innocent people to defend and get the Arabs to improve their own image. It will not end before they return to Quran and discard the Satanic Hadith they use to do their honour killing and recommend death penalty by stoning to death for adultery in direct conflict with Quran.

Let them Repent and return to the Quran and Islam!
