Tried it once and easily beat the guy. Problem is that I can not get much of a lift. We did it off a step of a motor home.

It would depend on the individuals involved, but all things being equal this is true. The reason is that females have a short straight urethra, but in guys the urine has to go around a bend which reduces its momentum. The problem is that the outflow in women often hits the vaginal wall or labia, causing spraying which greatly reduces distance. If a woman learns to keep the path clear she can produce quite an impressive stream.
