My biggest hurdle in life has been learning patience and self-control.

I struggle with it, but I am doing far better than just a couple of years ago.

BUDDHA told this parable: A traveler, fleeing a tiger who was
chasing him, ran till he came to the edge of a cliff. There he
caught hold of a thick vine, and swung himself over the edge.

Above him the tiger snarled. Below him he heard another snarl, and
behold, there was another tiger, peering up at him. The vine
suspended him midway between two tigers.

Two mice, a white mouse and a black mouse, began to gnaw at the
vine. He could see they were quickly eating it through. Then in
front of him on the cliffside he saw a luscious bunch of grapes.
Holding onto the vine with one hand, he reached and picked a grape
with the other.

How delicious!

Going to get more grapes now.

Every move we make is a lesson, if we don't learn or understand we do it over again. I am exactly where I should be. Life is awesome and that's the way I like things.

The light at the end of the tunnel may be a train coming towards you.
Some days you are the pigeon, but mostly the statue.

that the universe is a model of everly increasing complexity, between different sytems that compose it, and their interactions. This complexity has formed the wonderfull complexity of life, and has allowed us to exist. The reason that we exist in life, is because as creatures, more specifically ones with a prefrontal cortex, the experience of existance is euphoric. So recognizing that our lives are precious to us because of our existance, we must also contemplate the existance of others, and how our decisions impact them.
