on his deathbed. Did he beat his wife? It doesn't matter. Darwin is not the bible of evolutionary theory. BECAUSE THERE IS NO BIBLE OF EVOLUTIONARY THEORY. The theory of evolution is based on 150 years of observation of the geological and fosil record. Darwin was to evolution what Newton was to physics. He did not define the science, he only laid the groundwork for further study.

Of course not. It's not like the theory was without controversy in Darwin's lifetime. It was frequently challenged and the challenges failed because of the evidence. Mendel, Morgan, Watson, Crick and many others have taken his theory based on anatomy and determined its molecular basis. It's hard to refute chemistry. As a result, the anti-evolution fringe, is forced to vilify the man since his theory is sound.

Wow! -someone actually got it right!

"Evolution is based on 150 years of observation of the geological and fossil record". The geologic column c.1830, was established before radiometric dating methods were even dreamed possible. Now we use those scientific methods of dating to "confirm" the geologic column. And, if that radiometric date does not match the geologic column, then that radiometric date is tossed out as faulty data.
You have told the truth. The foundation for evolution is the geologic column. The geologic column is a fabrication. It has never been observed any where on this planet, except in textbooks and museums.
Well done my friend.

No. There is no evidence that Darwin recanted his theory on his deathbed, that Abraham Lincoln procalimed he was a born-again Christian on his deathbed, or that Carl Sagan converted to Christianity on his deathbed. I've heard all of them (along with others, in fact Sagan's wife was with him when he died, and she denied he ever accepted any religion when he died).

But yes, you are correct that evolution was something that had been studied long before Darwin.

The religious need to read Zechariah 13:3 before they make any more such claims.

Just because I agree with you doesn't mean it isn't still annoying when someone poses a "question" that's really just a sermon.

Wow, listen to the chick below me. Did one ever SEE such ignorance and desperation? Even for the R&S board, she's pretty rich.

To answer the question, Yes, he recanted.

Further studies have showed that all the men that scientist have reconstructed from "ape to man" time are frauds, publicly declared, might I add.
