we dated for 1.5 yrs.we argued(he cried everytime i tried to leave),bc he was a jerk up till about the 8thMonth,when he started mentioning marriage.then i dumped him bc i had to leave school for 5months.when i came back we got back together.his parents didn't like me anymore.this time it was on/off n more arguing.i left him a few times and went back, but he refused to get back together.then he would come crying back to me later.the last time i left him, he didn't want to get back together n was going on a date with a new, very nerdy girl.i got so mad that i said yes to a guy that was asking me to b in a relationship.it was announced, and the next day my ex asked that new girl to be in a relationship w/ him.i stopped talking to him n he started telling people he was depressed.i had dinner with him, and he's flirty and tells me he missed me so much(we were apart for a week).i send him letter and he never responds for 2 days.but bc i'm silent, he calls me.i call back, no answer.CONFUSION!!

i forgot to mention that this new nerdy girl is in fact nerdy, but she's pre-med/sciency like him (while i'm a liberal arts major) which he probably likes.but she's.. still just way too nerdy to be his type.

You need to stop the communicating with him. Cut him off...by crying and begging you to come back he's controlling the relationship, your emotion, and your feelings. You don't need a guy that will give you migraines and make you feel responsible for what you did.

I only read half way through your question before I saw that you are in a unhealthy situation. Drop him like it's hot and I find a guy that will appreciate you and what you have to offer. For all I know this guy has a lot of insecurities. Be strong and don't let him walk all over you!!! I hope this somehow helps you. :)

He's acting like this because the two of you have always behaved this way. You argue, breakup, cry, dump each other, get back together, cry, get angry.. .and then date each other again like it's all romantic and special. He's only doing what he's always done.
My question is- why, after 1.5 years, are you still playing this game with him? Don't you think it's time to stop messing around with your life and get a real relationship?

His playing on your sympathy and the way you feel about him. It's time for you to cut ties with this man for real and enjoy the life that God has given you. Leave him alone before he puts you in the state of depression.

i think he still really likes you, and not calling maybe prolonging the reality that ya'll may not have a future together. i'd follow ur heart and dont feel obligated to do anything!!
