went out from work went out to drink beer. We are all educated, professional women. One woman is always talking about all these men that are after her so much that it gets rather annoying. She goes on & on about how beautiful this guy is that she's dating, he's 38 and she's 48. She has a great job with the school district and he's a personal trainer/subsitute teacher. She went on & on then she went on & on about how this 22 year old guy was after her. Well, we're having a great time and she calls this guy and takes off to meet him and I'm like what's the deal? The rest of us were like what's up? I don't get her whole fascination with bragging about her conquests with us? Anyone could get young good looking booty, the real question is can you get good looking successful booty, now that would impress me. Why when a bunch of women get together there has to be one like that? What do you thiink?

Well...if she was annoying you maybe it was good that she took off? I've known women who for various reasons had thier self esteem very tied into their sexuality and their relationships with men...usually not a good sign of emotional health and well being...sounds like girlfriends in that boat. And lots of women dump thier girlfriends to take off with a guy...heck, if I had a gorgeous guy ten years my junior I could dump my girlfriends for I'd probably consider it...but I probably wouldn't be bragging about it in a bar. There does always seem to be one of those in the group...hopefully it rotates so everyone gets a turn? (insert big smily face here) And I think you're right to consider QUALITY over youth. "Good looking young punk" is much less interesting and satisfying (not to mention much less safe) than "on the same page - on the ball- has something substantial to offer".

I have a few associates like her. They always talking about somebody wanting them especially if we go out and a guy starts talking to me it's like this guy wanted me first or whatever. I'm like i don't give a F*** I'm not going home with him or anything. N-E-WAY What do I think she is just putting on a show. Don't believe her there probably not chasing her it's all in her head.

i think she has low self esteem and these young guys help build that up. But i do agree with you there are thousands of men out there but less than a thousand are successful, intelligent men. i do hope things get better or at least less annoying!!

Sounds like a guys night out....when one guy..starts going on about how he's getting some young tail. I think its insecurity and a fear of the future, so they are always grasping at things that remind them of the past...A pal of mine is always doing that....but it looks like he's walking around with his daugther.....he's like 40 and she's 22.....completely different worlds.....he looks rediculous.

why do you care so much... not being mean i think if you don't feel like hearing it dont pay attention. it makes her feel good that shes 48 and can score what she thinks is bragg worthy booty so be it.. be proud of her... i dont think she was trying to impress you. shes just happy for herself...so what?
