If you obsess about things you cannot change or cannot seem to control, yes.

See a professional, I did.

I have had OCD since I was a kid, and I can't tell you how many times I would freak out if things were not even, or clean, or the way I thought they needed to be....

A good medication like wellbutrin XL can change your life, but get a proper diagnosis first, by a therapist.

Trust me, life is too short to sweat the small stuff!

It never goes away but when you learn to manage it, it changes your life.

Good Luck,
Tanya

Could you elaborate a little about what you mean by a "breakdown?" People respond to stress in different ways and having OCD is definitely stressful! I'd try to see a mental health professional about your symptoms and they can help you figure out how to best deal with your stress. Medications and therapy are common options for dealing with OCD. i have had ocd for over 30 years.......untreated for 20.........i would say that if it is a severe case and goes untreated.meaning not seeking therapy or meds that the chances of a breakdown from stress are very high

What exactly is a breakdown? The term is thrown around, but no diagnosis fits it.
