an idol.
God
A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.
The force, effect, or a manifestation or aspect of this being.
A being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshiped by a people, especially a male deity thought to control some part of nature or reality.
An image of a supernatural being; an idol.
One that is worshiped, idealized, or followed: Money was their god.
A very handsome man.
A powerful ruler or despot.
Romans 1:18-32—
18 For the justice of Yahweh is revealed from heaven concerning all unholiness and unrighteousness of men or women, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
19 For that which is known about Yahweh is manifest to them, because Yahweh has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world, the invisible things of Him are clearly seen__His eternal power and holiness__being understood by the things that are written; so that they are without excuse.
21 Because that, when they knew Yahweh, they did not glorify Him as Father, nor were thankful, but became idolatrous; godworshipers (worshipers of elohim), in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools; simpletons,
23 And exchanged the glory of the uncorruptible Father for images, made to resemble corruptible man, and birds, four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 Therefore, Yahweh also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own minds, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who exchanged the truth of Yahweh for the Lie; Lords (Baalim), Gods, Goddesses (Elohim) and demons, and worshiped and served the creation, rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Praise Yahweh! HalleluYahweh!
26 For this reason it came to pass that they gave themselves up to degrading passions: for even their women exchanged the natural use into that which is against nature.
27 And the men did the same thing: leaving the natural use of the woman, they burned in their lust for one another; men committing shameful acts with men, and suffering in their own bodies the penalty for their error, which is their fitting reward.
28 And so, since they did not like to retain Yahweh in their knowledge, it came to pass that they were given over to deadly diseases that damaged their brains, robbing them of righteous judgment, thus doing those things which are perverted;
29 Causing to arise all unrighteousness, sexual impurity, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; total envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They even practice sorcery and witchcraft to protect themselves from these deadly plagues,
30 They are backbiters; slanderers, haters of Yahweh, despiteful, arrogant, and boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 And without understanding. They are covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable; truce breakers, and unmerciful:
32 Who, knowing the righteous judgment of Yahweh, that those who practice such things deserve death, not only continue to do these very things, but also approve of those who practice them.

God is the all powerful, all knowing, all loving, all present creator of the universe. He is the only perfect being in existence, and is not bound by dimensions or time. He is the beginning and the end, and will reign over creation for all eternity. Most importantly, he has reconnected the relationship between him and humans by the death of his only son Jesus. Whoever opposes him, alks down the path of destruction, and whoever believes in him will be loved and provided for by him forever and ever. Pretty awesome guy huh?

God is a concept, a theory created by our earliest ancestors to give reason to all the splendor and wonder of the world. But today with advancements in science and technology, we know the error of our ways. Or do we?

Not being smart, but you really need to ask Him. God can and will reveal Himself to you. Also get a Bible without the added bits and read it with asking God who He is.
God really loves you and wants you to be in relationship with Him.
Ask and you shall recieve, seek and you will find knock and the door will be open to you.

God is everything.
It is you, your family, that strange person on the subway who talks to himself, the birds, the trees, the planets, stars, etc.
We are more than connected. We are one, and whole.
