We have been together for about a year and now he wants me to meet his parents, but I'm not sure they will accept our relationship because of the age difference. What should I do or say?

it depends...if you are 11 and he is 23 then it is wrong. if you are 23 and he is 34 it's ok. and also...he is lucky.

Eleven years can be huge or no big deal. If you are 18 and he is 29, the years are wider than if you are 40 and he is 51. Hey, I knew a couple that the woman was about 10 years older than the man. She was a big kid, and he acted like an old man. If you have been together for a year, something must be right! Meet the parents, and give them a chance to get to know you, and you them. You may end up having a really good time, too.

Age doesn't make the relationship. Why not meet his parents? If they have any doubts about the relationship prove them wrong. A lot of people have big gaps between their age and it works just fine.

Don't worry. If you two are in love with each other than his parents will understand the relationship. You're going to have to meet them anyway so just get it over with.

Go ahead and meet them. If you are serious about this guy than you are going to have to meet them anyway. Show them that you are confident about your relationship with their son, and they will be too. It is yours and his choice to be together, show them that you are here to stay. They will realize that they will have to accept it. Or maybe they will be fine with it, in that case, you're good to go! Hope I helped.

Yeah, they probably won't, because even I think it is a little weird, sorry!! :-0 But you could try telling them that you really like each other and that your relationship is working out, and that your perfectly happy. Also you could try telling them that that is the norm these days :-) And just be polite, and everything should be just fine.

My husband is 14 years older than me. My family was fine with it but his family wasn't. But that's because I being the woman was the older one. I think since it is him who is the older one, they will be fine with it. For you to care about what they think you must be a sweet person and I'm sure they will like you for who you are.

YOU TWO HAVE TO MAKE A CHOSE AND IF YOU TWO LOVE EACH OTHER WHY NOT TELL THEM. I LIKE THIS GUY AND HE DOES TO AND HE IS 8 YEARS OLDER THAN ME,THE AGE DOES NOT CARE I THINK. BUT IF YOU REALLY LOVE HIM TELL THEM. OR YOU COULD WAIT A FEW MORE YEARS, LIKE 2 OR 3. IF YOU TO PLAN TO GET MARRIED , WAIT A BIT MORE
