I do. It's the citric acid from the lemons. Even lemonade wine coolers would eat my stomach. I can't drink that stuff anymore. If you still want to drink it, keep Maalox on hand. And a lot of it.

Yes you can get drunk from low alcohol drinks, but it would take you a long time and a lot of cases of it. Alcohol addiction is based mainly on the pleasure of being drunk, rather than the pleasure of drinking, so a few cans of hard lemonade is not going to make you an alcoholic, and usually even people who do get easily addicted learn to regulate their alcohol intake after a few benders just to minimise the hangover.

It is the citrus acid and Alcohol combined This is hard on any ones stomach. I can't drink a whiskey sour without throwing up imediately. The stomach was not made for this type of abuse.

It's a high fructan drink so if you can't handle fructans well, then this will be hell for you too. Google High Fructan foods, you might find many in there that give you the same effect.

Maybe it is what the "hard" stands for, acid. I drink a glass of orange juice every day and it has to be the low acid brand, it makes a difference. I wouldn't know about alcoholic beverages though, it has been a long while.....

I never get a stomach ache but you should check the ingridients and see if there is something in there that is also in other things that you drink that also gives you a stomach ache. Perhaps its just the alcohol.

I think it is from the acids in the drink. I too get this. It is probably from the sugars and the acids, mixed with the alcohol. As to preventing it, I have no clue, I just don't drink it anymore.

What kind of stomachache? If it feels like trapped gas in the upper abdomin it's likely the carbonation. That used to happen to me with hard lemonades and wine coolers.

My guess would be all the sugar, it also gives me a headache in addition to the stomach ache. I'd rather stick to bud select or patron.
