mix
1 cup breadcrumbs ( I like Panko, japanese style crumbs)
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
fresh ground black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
sprinkle on top of casserole

I just cut up a loaf of bread and whirl it up in a food processor. Extra bread crumbs can be stored in a ziplock in the freezer for the future.

You can also whirl your dry bread or dry toast in blender container. Flavor the crumbs with some herbs and/or seasonings like garlic/onion salt.
