No, a tanning bed does not emmit the same type of UVs used for tooth whitening, however if you get a tan your teeth will appear to be whiter because of the difference in contrast. That's why dark skinned people often look like they have brilliantly white teeth.

No the tanning bed can't whiten your teeth but a tan will make your teeth look whiter next to your darker skin. The blue light has to be right inside of your mouth in a dentist's office. Sorry but you'll need to see a Dentist that does Zoom whiting to get that whiter that white and while you are at it go ahead and get that tan it will make your teeth look even whiter.

Zoom whitening involved placement of bleach on your teeth, and the blue light is then placed closely on the teeth.
I don't think this type of light is the same as the ones you see in tanning beds.

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

No this is a myth. Tanning gives the "appearance" of whiter teeth. Have you ever notcied that a light is always brighter at night than during the day? Same effect. Darker skin makes the lighter parts seem whiter.

Tanning beds use UVA (aging, tanning) & maybe minimal UVB (burning) rays.UV rays promote pigmentation, i.e. increase melanin formation, making you look darker.
The dental bleaching light is in the spectrum of visible light (not UV) in the 350-420nm wavelength range. Dental bleaching uses a bleaching material and light as an activator for the reaction.
Do not microwave your gums! Go to a dentist/dental bleaching clinic near you!

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.

No, don't try it. I'm not saying you will burn your gums, but the tanning salon is not meant for whitening teeth.

Getting whiter teeth with Maxodent is as easy as 1,2,3...
(do this daily for 14 days)
1.Separate the strip from the hard plastic film, and place on the teeth.
2.Leave the strip on your teeth for 20-30 minutes.
3.Remove strip and throw it away. You will see noticeable whiter teeth immediately, however for best results repeat daily for 14 days

And you thought of this how?
If a tan makes you darker, then how could it whiten your teeth.
