From what I understand this is an ancient fight that has been ongoing for centuries. Not being a historian or theologian I am not going to try to explain it or take sides. Maybe I am naive but it seems that somehow or way they should be able to reconcile. However, you, like me know things are never that simple.

We can find killers everywhere and in different re legions and killers followed Satan of course.Do you think only re legions are doing that no not all !!!For people informations Prophet Mouhammad said don't cut a tree or kill women, old people and kids in the war and the war should be soldiers against soldiers ,face to face .It's forbidden in the Islamic relegion to kill people in a bomb and who is a real muslim will not do that and who commited a crime should be murdered at once.Again who isn't well educated enough should not talk about this pure relegion and just please see how many civilians were killed since the occupation of Palestine,Lebanon and Iraq ,weren't they innocent and they weren't deserve killing in such tolerant way!!!I'm asking everybody to have knowledge about the real Islamic relegion and then will discover the truth of this pure relegion as I did.

There are different sects of Islam just like there are different sects of Judaism and Christianity. All sects have the same core beliefs, yet some are more extreme or orthodox than others.

Religion is also a lot about what you believe in. If you have strong beliefs, than you will react more against someone that does not believe the same things that you do.

No. There are two types of Muslims -- Shiite and Sunni. Shiites are more conservative (they believed that the caliph following the death of Mohammad should have been one of his descendants). They make up only a small portion of the population. Sunnis aren't as conservative and believed that the caliph should be elected. Their conflict is sort of like the Protestant/Catholic conflict in Northern Ireland. They believe in the same principals, but are just slightly different, so there is conflict.

In all religions there are sects that believe differently. Some radical Muslims take everything to an extreme and fight their own fellow-believers because they don't think they're "true" Muslims.

It might seem that way to you but there are Sunnis, Shites and other factions. Just like there are Catholics, Methodist,Lutherans, Baptist and Mormons. All consider themselves Christians.
I for one feel Religion divides people. It's not the Religion it's the relationship. Till they get that they may as well be heathens.

Who told you we kill each others?
You mean what happens nowadays in Iraq? Shea & Sunnah?
Shea & Sunnah have been happily living with their differences for 1400 years.
In Iraq in specific, it's not that unusual to see a married couple one from Sunnah & the other from Shea.

Q: So, what happened in Iraq that members of the same family are fighting?
A: AMERICA IS IN THERE
