I wear my hair in a ponytail all the time. Is this the reason? It's really dry and curly and has bounce, softness or anything. It's just a desert up there! I'm African American so I kind of have what they call "black hair". Not to make anyone angry or be racist. I'm just saying.

It has no bounce, softness or anything I mean. My scalp is really dry and itches really bad and I have to keep scratching.

And for all the dumb idiots saying I have to worry about my pregnancy. Everything is prepared for Danity and next month she's coming so SHH no one cares.

you should be more concerned about being 13 and pregnant than your hair breaking

It's likely, that it's due to the pony tail.
I also recommend Pantene Relaxed & Natural
Shampoo and Conditioner. Try to use the pony
tail a little less often, straighten your hair like
once a month, and wear your hair in a headband
that's got black color to it to school or at home.
Since your hair's so dry try to pre-condition your
hair in the shower leave it in for 1-3 mins. depending
on how dry it is,rinse well, then shampoo & conditioner.
While pre-conditioning use a wide tooth comb 2 detangle
a little bit. Then use it again while just using the condtioner.
That hsould solve the problem.

Well, if you have a relaxer in your hair, this is the main reason. The pony tail surely doesn't help things at all. If you need more hair tips visit http://www.nappturality.com It's aaalllll you'll ever need to know about "black hair". Trust me.

Yes it should be the ponytail, and you will need to wear your hair down more often so as to release its pressure. Also you can try out some anti-breakage shampoo, like this one from Elvive: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=359

I've found if I always wear my hair in a pony tail it breaks...try a different style -out, or in a bun...? and let it grow a bit, then try wearing it in ponytail a leetle bit.

Go to a salon. I see on tv ( make-over shows, etc) where they have a special hair oil for hair like yours that does wonders.
