Okay, I'm getting braces in a few weeks, I'm super exited because I can't stand my teeth any longer, and when they put those things on your back teeth (aka brackets) does it hurt? if not, what part of it does hurt?

It hurts when they tighten the wires. Just take aspirin and plan on eating soup for a day or two when they are tightened. Other than that it is no big deal. I am happy for you I was happy to get mine and happy to get them off. Good Luck

The actual process of putting brackets on does not hurt in itself. However, your teeth will probably be sore later and you may have problems eating hard foods. I would have to say that the next few days after getting braces is the worst, but it is worth it! Also, some people get sorer (is sorer even a word? maybe its more sore) than others.

If you are getting the regular metals ones. The brackets wont hurt. They put a type of glue on your teeth and stick the brackets on; thats it.
They only time it will hurt is when you get the rubberbands and wires changed/tightened.

the only part that i found painful was when they put the bands into your back teeth. putting on braces doesn't hurt. it does hurt afterwards because your teeth feels really tight and u won't be able to eat solid food for a few days.

your teeth will feel tight like that every month after u get them tightened.

my younger sister got her braces not to long ago and i remember the first day she said it hurt a lot.

i'm not sure if the brackets hurt too much, but i know the pressure from the wires/brackets (and whenever they tighten the wires) it hurts a lot. she was unable to eat for a few days because it hurt so much, but it went away i thinl after 1-2 days

good luck

Yes! It does I have had braces for about 8 months now. When I first got them put on they was ok. Soon as I went to eat something 😖 It felt like my teeth was falling out my mouth. Then when they put my brackets on a few days ago the first day it was okay but the next day my teeth started to hurt so bad my gums was on fire. They still hurt as of now 😔😔
I recommend intant oral gel or aspirin or Tylenol.
Soft food work as well.

Yes it hurts, and you'll be sore for several days. Try taking some tylenol or something before you go in.
