you are not alone. My mom does not tell me I was a mistake, however, she acts like it all the time. My younger sister is the princess and I am the black sheep. I don't have too many friends either, I had my kids way too young, so most of my life just spent raising them, their father left when they were small. I went to college, but could not afford 4yrs, and did not have time or money for the babysitter so I couldn't get my B.S. or B.A.
Now, I'm working part time, no one wants someone with A.S. degree, unless you have friends in high places. Just get your education, 4yrs, get a good job and live your life to the fullest, forget people that bring you grief even if you're related to them, otherwise you will always be unhappy.
Good luck.

I can totally relate to you, I have lived on my own since 1990. I do have a few friends That accept the fact that I am not going to be on their doorstep constantly, I have a few family around me and while they are important they understand tha if an opportunity came by for them not to consider me in the equation. So yes I live on my own , it is by my choice, I have no desire to change it, and I would call myself a happy well rounded person thank you
