Just wandering, I don't smoke so I'm not familiar.

you can....joints are usually a little less stable so they can be harder to put out, where as a blunt is made with cigar paper so its more firm...but there's no reason you cant put out a joint a relight it later...

What on earth is a Blunt?
You only have to put a joint down for it to go out anyway! I can make one last a long time whereas if I put a manufactured ciggie down it burns away to the tip!

a joint has flimsier paper and its harder to just put it out and re light it..plus it dont taste as good..and a blunt when u re -light it its just the same as u had before u put it out
