It is for a GPS application. Is it big enough ?

How can I pick a best answer if all answers contain the same info.

The screen size is 11.1 inches. I'm guessing that is diagonal. No W x H numbers there.

1280 x 800 is not a computer monitor size, it's a display resolution - the amount of pixels displayed on the screen at the time.

you cannot work out a physical size from it.

although 1280 x 800 is a healthy resolution which has the potential to display lots of detail on-screen it all comes down to what the PHYSICAL size of the screen is.

That is the pixel points per inch, that is not the size of the Monitor and yes 1200X800 is wonderful for a GPS, I use a Pocket PC with a GPS and MS Street and Trip and the display is 640X220
and i have no problem seeing or using it....
