My niece wants one for her birthday but I can't seem to find it under $20.00, I thought it might be cheaper to make it myself. Any ideas?

be easier and cheaper to buy one. by the time you get the bar, the fishing line, and the beads, AND then put it all together, her birthday will pass, and you'll have spent more time and $ then you've wanted to.

Horizontal bar to span across the door frame, fishing line 15 lb. test and the beads of your choice and spacers between them if you choose.

if you have a world market near you, they have lots of these! Sounds like maybe a type of project the two of you could do together too. :) Great bonding time!
