No...you are human.
To lose weight, you can follow some simple steps:
1. Do something every day to excercise for 1/2 hour. Take a walk. It doesn't have to be vigorous (only if you feel like it).
2. Don't eat stuff with sugar in it. If you really like sugar, reserve it for once a week, and get whatever you want. One bottle of coke has as much as 5 krispy creme donuts. Enough sugar in one bottle for the whole week.
3. Keep an eye on fat. If you drink milk, only buy skim. If you want chips with your sandwich, eat 5 instead of the whole bag.
Stay away from cheese, mayonnaise, and butter. You would be surprised how much you can eat when you cut the fat out.
If you are overweight, drink lots of water...as you begin to get more active, you will need to flush the impurities out of your system efficiently.
Diets that are published are usually too difficult to adhere to, and so can diets that people invent themselves. You can sabotage your own diet by making it too hard to actually execute on a daily basis.
Eat what you like, but TRY to change little things, and as you progress, you can change more.
You physically cannot lose more than 2 pounds a week, unless you are a 6'3", 300 pound man.

CLEARLY YOU ARE NOT RETARDED !!!! The reason you cannot stick to a diet is because you have not fully decided that you will do whatever it takes (within a healthy way) to lose the weight. Either you crave something so bad, you just can't help but eat it - or you find reasons not to exercise or whatever.
It's just like people who smoke - they will not quit smoking until the decide that it's absolutely what they want to do - and decide that they will do whatever possible (again in a healthy way) to stop smoking.
You must make the final decision and decide - this is it, I'm done with the junk food, the soft drinks and the processed foods. I am going to exercise no matter how bad it hurts and no matter how much I'm not in the mood to do it today.
It's all up to you.
Don't think of it as a diet - look at it more of a lifestyle change. It really won't be that hard to do if you just stick to it long enough to see a slight difference.
Plus, once you start eating better foods, drinking water and exercising, you will feel better - which will encourage you to keep going.

Dont think that!
Go to WowWow and look at the Beach Body stuff - its a exercise program mixed with a complete nutrition program. You eat normal foods in normal amounts. The menus are created based on your current body height weight and shape so you dont starve yourself and the weight loss is normalized. You dont starve on this diet. Just keep up with it. It's an amazing program and works great - this is the only one that I found that meshes pretty good with the South Beach Diet, Nutrisystems and Atkins diets.

Perhaps you forget you are on it....try wearing a bulky bracelet on the hand you eat with to help you remember....you'll want to take it off when you eat, and instead you'll remember you're on a diet and think about what you're about to eat. if you have no will power, try hanging posters of people the size that you would like to be in places you will see them, or hang some of your smaller sized clothes in the kitchen to remind you of your goals.

Because you are NORMAL and there are TOO darn many commercials on TV telling you to eat, eat, eat! Good luck...especially tomorrow. Start your diet on Saturday, after the leftovers are gone!
