No, there is no way to make hair straighteners at home.

What's wrong with the way it is now? Straight does not = better. Chemically altering it will only make things worse. Put some good conditioner in it and go swimming! Just be sure to wash it all out to get the chemicals from the water. And if you don't want to mess with it after swimming, put it in a bun!

swimming + chemical straightners = very bad. trust me had my hair relaxed and then went swimming. x_x I have heard that milk works for straigting hair. I have a milk straigtner and i've used milk before. I suggest after swimming wash and use a leave in conditioner. - then grease or oil scalp but only if you have a dry scalp. then use milk product like http://fructis.garnier.ca/en/product_fs.asp?product_id=15 it works well i give it about 7.5/10

If you are going to go swimming ... DO NOT.... use a chemical straightner or relaxer it will break your hair. sorry there isn't a solution. besides straighten it manually.

trust me, you want to go to a professional. you could extremely damage your hair if you do it at home.
